We will do our best to meet our customer’s needs and expectations.
Jiro Murase, the founder and the first president, who had come to Tokyo in 1927 established Murase Ampoule Manufacturing Company (present Murase Glass Co., Ltd.) in 1934 at Honjou Ward (now called Sumida Ward), Tokyo and commenced manufacturing medical glass container (ampoules) . After he had come to Tokyo at the young age of 15, he started working as an ampoule craftsman and was devoted himself to a world of craftsmanship with his three principles, gratitude, passion and sincerity. Shigemitsu Murase, the second president established the foundation of modernization by succeeding his predecessor’s principles, overcoming the oil crisis and so on and pushing forward toward automated manufacturing. Though we have kept asking ourselves“What is manufacturing?” ever since the foundation, we realize that what we take for granted is unexpectedly difficult to do when we actually try it, such as what we have to do for bringing beautiful flowers into blossom and for gaining better seeds. But we successfully improved our manufacturing technology cultivated during such conflict and now we are able to provide our customers with satisfactory products. Currently, in addition to glass containers for a medical injectable drug such as an ampoule, a vial and a syringe we provide a glass container of which the inner surface is specially treated for biological medicines. Since a long time ago we have started manufacturing a glass container conformed with the pharmacopoeia in Japan, U.S.A. and Europe and it has been registered in the drug master files in U.S.A. and China ; thus we have built a system which makes it possible for us to promptly cope with various needs from our customers by fixing our eyes on globalization. Due to an epidemic of corvid-19 and other infectious diseases a mission demanded of pharmaceutical companies has become greater and their further contribution to society is expected. Requests from pharmaceutical companies engaging in developing and manufacturing medicine vary. We will aim at assuming a supporting role for them continuously through providing a medical glass container which is good enough to meet their expectations.
